Nash Jones, a transfer from UIW and a 2nd Team All Southland Conference and 2nd Team Bloodblood All-American, will fill a crucial role as the starting left tackle for Texas State. Jones has a proven track record, having played a vital role in UIW's offensive line that only gave up 15 sacks in a pass happy offense during the regular season and helped the team rush for over 3000 yards.
His transfer to Texas State fills a position of need for the Bobcats and his chemistry with his former teammates will only benefit the team further. “The biggest thing is trust. I trust my brothers are going to do what they’re supposed to do,” Jones said. “If the call is something where we need to communicate a lot, we don’t have to communicate as much as somebody else would. We’re already on the same page. We’re already on the same wavelength.”
