Kaleb Ford-Dement

Cornerback

5'11" 191 lbs

RS Senior

Kaleb is expected to compete heavily for an opening day starting role, or at the very least make the rotation. Kaleb has proven himself at the G5 level, as evidenced by his performance as a starter at Old Dominion in 2019, where he recorded 26 total tackles, 13 passes defended, 2 interceptions and earned 2nd team All-Conference. Old Dominion's decision to cancel their 2020 season resulted in Kaleb transferring to Washington State, where he played in all 12 games in 2021. Unfortunately, a shoulder injury kept him out of action in 2022.

While Kaleb may not have been highly recruited out of high school, he has already proven himself on the college football stage. High school stats can only indicate how a player may perform on the college level, but Kaleb has already demonstrated his abilities. There are still questions surrounding his injury and year-long layoff, specifically, whether or not he will be the same player he was prior to the injury.

Despite these concerns, Kaleb earns a 4-star rating because he fills a position of need for the Bobcats and he is a proven commodity on the field.

4.1 Star
