Jimeto Obigbo
Right Tackle
6'4" 340 lbs
Junior
A major acquisition to the offensive line with the transfer of Obigbo, a 2nd Team All Southland Conference player and a third starter from the UIW offensive line, which many believed to be one of the best in FCS. Obigbo is a junior, so he has two years of eligibility remaining. He brings a winning attitude and great habits to the Bobcats, having been a key player on the UIW offensive line, and will join several of his former teammates who have also transferred to Texas State.
Despite not receiving an offer from a Power Five school out of high school, Jimeto's high school highlights are impressive. He is ready to step in and make an immediate impact for the Bobcats, filling a position of need at right tackle, which has been a problem spot for the team in recent years. Obigbo is a player to keep an eye on and his big athletic frame, quickness and power will make him an asset for Texas State. It's unfortunate that Power Five schools missed out on Obigbo during his high school career, but the Bobcats are lucky to have him now.
5 Stars!!
