Devin is a defensive lineman with a slender build and a verified 4.8 40-time, which is good for his position. As a former member of the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College (MGCCC) football program, I was impressed by his production in one year at the school. In 9 games at MGCCC, Devin recorded 34 tackles (28 solo), 10 TFLs and 7.5 sacks. He committed to Boise State in 2020, but did not get the consistent playing time he desired.
Like current Texas State players Alonzo Edward Jr. and CJ Williams, who are also former MGCCC players, I expect Devin to be a strong contributor and put pressure on the passer. However, as we haven't seen him perform at this level yet, there are question marks. Therefore, I rate him as a 4-Star recruit.
