Amarion has good size for a cornerback and good speed, with a recorded time of 11.68 seconds in the 100 meters. As a true freshman, he has room to grow and improve. He was a high school teammate of Chris Dawn Jr., another Texas State signee from Mesquite Horn. Amarion was a key contributor to Mesquite's first winning season in 5 years. Dave Campbell rates him as a 3-Star prospect and he was previously committed to Arizona State before signing with Texas State.
