Commentary

I'm surprised by how highly I've rated Ian, as I wasn't expecting that going into the evaluation. Despite not having any reported offers out of high school and redshirting his freshman year at Blinn Community College, he has impressed me. Ian is young, big, and surprisingly nimble. He has been well-coached and will play a crucial position of need - center. His only year of college production was this past year as a starting guard, though he also played some left tackle, for nationally ranked Trinity Valley(#10). I liked what I saw of Ian on film. He has been excellently coached, and Ian obviously possesses the intelligence and talent to execute what he has been taught. Trinity Valley's offensive line coach, Tyler Uselton, is someone to keep an eye on going forward.

Our coaching staff has once again done a terrific job of finding younger talent to reload the offensive line. Players like Ian have the opportunity to provide crucial depth in 2024 and potentially earn starting roles in the future. Our staff continues to impress, as these types of signings often go unnoticed but can pay significant dividends down the line.
