Transfer from East Los Angeles College
When I began my research, my initial question was, "What is East Los Angeles College?" What I discovered is that it's affiliated with the California Coast Community College Athletic Association (3C2A), and its basketball team is showcased in the Netflix series Last Chance U. Similarly, Oakland's Laney C.C. football team, also part of the 3C2A, was featured on the show. Consequently, East Los Angeles College is a player's last opportunity to transfer to a four-year institution and earn a football scholarship. Surprisingly, the school excels at this, with an average of about 25 players transferring annually. Kudos!
While reviewing highlights of Tymere, I observed an edge player with good speed and agility. He was the team's top defender. In 11 games he finished with 64 total tackles, 3 sacks, 13.5 tackles for loss, and 1 interception. These are huge numbers, although the level of competition appears to be relatively weak. Nevertheless, watching Tymere's highlight tape, I could see the qualities that coaches find appealing. There is potential for him to develop into a disruptive pass rusher due to his combination of speed, size, and quickness.
Measurables: 4.3, due to his speed, size and quickness.
Skill: 3.5, hard to measure against varying levels of competition. At his previous stops he didn't show much.
Other: 3.0, considering this will be his fourth college in four years, and our team already has good depth at the defensive end position.
Overall: 3.6 Stars, which means he has D-1 talent, but there's not enough film against quality competition to gauge his full potential.
