Commentary:

Highly recruited wide receiver out of Kilgore CC with over 10 P5 offers. He eventually signed with UCF where he ended his career with 9 receptions on 16 targets and a TD in 3 years. He brings good size and decent speed to the Bobcats, but I have questions about his willingness to block and ability to gain separation. I expect his success at TXST will most likely come down to a crucial play in a critical game when someone other than Joey Hobert or Kole Wilson needs to make a play. However, Jordan McCloud's mastery of the deep pass may create an opportunity for Jaylon to contribute more than expected.
