Brad Jackson

6'1" 185lbs QB

True Freshman

Ronald Reagan HS

San Antonio, TX

As an undersized quarterback with above-average athleticism and good football IQ, Brad made waves at Houston Cypress Creek before transferring to San Antonio Ronald Reagan. Beyond his talents on the field, Jackson's academic achievements are exceptional, as he has received multiple offers from Ivy League Universities. Coaches commend his high character, making him not only a standout player but also a respected team member.

Jackson can make plays with his legs and runs the RPO offense effectively, which is a big positive for TXST. His ability to check down to second and third options demonstrates a mature understanding of the game. However, concerns arose when evaluating his film against Austin Westlake, specifically regarding his arm strength and accuracy. Not that I expect every QB to have TJ Finley or Zach Calzada zip on the ball; though that type of velocity is nice to have, at a minimum, you need to sling it as well as Tyler Vitt or Trevor Knight these days. Fortunately, arm strength can be improved. My personal favorite exercise to increase velocity is hitting the speed bag, but I digress. With coaches like Kinne and Leftwhich at the helm, Jackson has the opportunity to refine his skills and address any areas of concern.

My rating for Brad is 3.95 stars because he's talented but has a lot of work ahead of him to be considered in the QB conversation.
